My name is Balázs Kádár. I’m a co-head coach at CrossFit Grund. In addition to the day-to-day coordination of our box, I also work as a teacher of Physical Education, so I can definitely say that sport is a significant part of my everyday life. Besides CrossFit and weightlifting classes, I work with clients during personal trainings as well. I strive to make sure that every single person who chooses our classes leaves with new experiences (be it a social experience or sport success) and new skills and knowledge that they can benefit from and develop during the next training occasions. It makes me especially happy if one has the ambition to compete, since I also help athletes to get prepared for competitions during our Competition Classes.
A few information about me:
I graduated from the Hungarian University of Sports Science. I used to swim and play handball professionally during Elementary School, and later I have settled with handball for a longer period. After 12 years, I had to choose between sport and studies. I could handle both for 2 years, but eventually I had to give up handball and focus on my studies. After all, CrossFit came to the picture in 2017 and since then it has become my passion. I try to provide the best of my knowledge every day, and to develop and train myself by participating in professional courses and trainings.
We welcome everyone who would like to join our community and experience the power of a motivating team during the workouts.
See you all in the box!
2021 – Hungarian University of Sports Science – Master’s Degree
2022 – CrossFit Level 1 Trainer
I graduated from the Hungarian University of Physical Education and Sport Sciences with a degree in physical education teaching after a 5 and a half year program, in January 2022. My studies at the university of physical education also reflect the close relationship I have had with sports since high school.
I first came into contact with CrossFit and strength training in 2017. I learned the basics through a friend who was already competing at that time. I have competed in several competitions, but later on, due to school and coaching work, I did not have the capacity to prepare at a competitive level.
However, the lack of competition did not diminish my enthusiasm for CrossFit. I have been training continuously and almost daily since then.
Since I started teaching at school, I realized that I wanted to take this sport and strength training more seriously. That is why I completed the IWI strength coach training in the summer of 2022. As a coach at Grund, I could work at a higher level and effectively help people who are humble and motivated in the field of sports to achieve their goals. Unfortunately, this more serious activity often stands far from physical education classes in high school. Additionally, I would like to further expand my theoretical knowledge related to sports.
It is never too late to start. Sports were not a big part of Adri’s childhood, regular movement only arrived to her life as she began her university studies. She tried several sports, like running, aerobic, yoga, gym or wall-climbing, but only the latter one introduced her to the joy of movement. She got more familiar with the world of functional training in 2013, when she started attending TRX, kettlebell and cross classes. CrossFit caught her attention with being really diverse and improving different areas all at once. Adri coaches trainings since 2018. Besides her professional development, her guests’ progress is the most important to her. She thrives to offer her best knowledge and trusts that everyone will find the joy of movement here at Grund.
